Greetings & Welcome

Welcome to the official website of the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Chartered on May 7, 1938, by Founder Jimmie Bugg Middleton, our chapter began as the Alpha Zeta Sigma Chapter in the Eastern Region, with approval from Past National President Vivian Osbourne Marsh. In 1956, during the 24th National Convention in Detroit, Michigan, all alumnae chapters adopted new naming conventions, and Alpha Zeta Sigma officially became the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter.

Today, the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter is home to more than 500 dedicated members who are actively engaged in community service and committed to Delta’s legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Our biennium theme—Let’s Be BOLD Together— embodies our chapter’s focused pursuit of the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, strengthened by intentional collaboration and impactful partnerships that drive lasting change.
